Mexico ratifies Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo

On May 19, 1948, Mexico ratified the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo. The treaty ended the Mexican-American War, and ceded roughly half of Mexico's territory to the United States.
